computational modeling of attention-driven visual recognition

In this project, our primary goal is to develop a computational model of an attention driven visual recognition system for intelligent image retrieval. We implement a comprehensive computational model that includes attention with associative memory interaction, which facilitates robust image retrieval application. Our proposed model will handle different types of distortions. We explore existing theories of attention model that involves visual information processing and replicate this in a Biologically Inspired Object Recognition (BIOR) model. We then exploit BIOR model image retrieval in large scale Medical Image Database. The database and query-processing module will use this BIOR as a relevance feedback utility for intelligent image retrieval with higher precision and recall. Publications
